Antirheumatic Agents, Gold

Medical Definition: Gold salts that are effective in the therapy of rheumatoid arthritis. These compounds usually do not have analgesic activity. Since these compounds are poorly absorbed from the intestinal tract, they are usually given intramuscularly.
